Pesson Elementary (Updated Orientation Schedule August 3, 2021)

8:30 AM – 10:00 AM Last Names beginning with A to K

10:00 AM – 11:30 AM  Last Names Beginning with L to Z

Parents you will be driving through to pick up a packet concerning your child with information to return to the school with your child on Wednesday. You will drive up in front of the table concerning your child’s grade level. You will be given a packet with information from your child’s teacher.

*Please send the $10.00 fee on the first day of school for ID cards, handbook/planner, communicator/fluency folder and graded paper folder. Place exact money amount in a labeled envelope. Please do not combine fees for siblings. Each child should have their own envelope and exact change.  Cash or money orders only, checks will not be accepted.

*Please come by the office to register for student care. Students attending Pesson Elementary for the first time should register in the office prior to orientation on August 9th from 8:30 to 2:00.

 

Materials that are part of the basic educational program are provided without charge to a student.  Students are expected to provide their own basic supplies and may need to be replinshed throughout the school year. 

Pre-Kindergarten – 6th Grade $10.00 fee for the following:

 

Communication Folder           $5.00

Lanyard                                  $2.00

ID                                           $3.00

Only cash, cashier’s check or money orders will be accepted for fee payment.

Fees will be collected throughout the month of August. Any student that does not pay for fees by the deadline will not be allowed to participate in any non-curricular activity until all fees have been paid.

*Students and families may request an economic hardship waiver for fees by making an appointment with the principal. Documentation of hardship must be provided.  The criteria for economic hardships can be found in the Iberia Parish School Board Policy Manual (Policy JS). Requests that are denied may be appealed with the Assistant Superintendent, Jennifer Joseph.
